Gregg J. Cavanagh has been a practicing lawyer for over forty years. His principal area of practice is labor and employment litigation, and he also has experience in contract, construction, and insurance matters.
He graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts with a B.A. summa cum laude in economics and political science. He earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. While in law school, he served as a Note and Comment Editor of the Minnesota Law Review. After graduation, he attended the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s National Session, an intensive three-week course in trial advocacy skills.
Gregg began his career as an associate at a large law firm headquartered in Los Angeles. He then returned to Minnesota, where he became a shareholder at a large Minneapolis-based law firm. For the past 24 years, he has been a sole practitioner in the Minneapolis area.
He has been admitted to the bars of Minnesota, California, the U.S. District Courts in those states, the Eighth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is the author of several legal publications.
