Driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs (DUI) is a dangerous problem. To reduce its impact, all states have enacted DUI laws.

There are different types of DUI charges and ways to face a DUI offense. For example, drugged and drunk driving laws are not limited to motor vehicles. You may face a DUI charge while riding a moped, a bicycle, or a watercraft.

Different circumstances and past DUI convictions affect how law enforcement charges a DUI. With prior DUI convictions, your charge is more serious. You could face a felony or aggravated DUI. If you cause serious injuries or death, you might be looking at manslaughter DUI.
