App Helps Lawyers Become Podcasters

By William Vogeler, Esq. on October 25, 2017 | Last updated on March 21, 2019

Technology is great if you know how to use it, right?

And it's alright to admit if you don't know how to use everything on your computer or smartphone. Lawyers use only 10 percent of their brains anyway, right? (Well, maybe some of us.)

But if you didn't know how to create your own podcast, you can't really use the "don't-know-how-it-works" excuse anymore. That's because there's an app for that.

Anchor App

The Anchor is an app that allows you to broadcast your voice, music, and conversations on the internet. It pushes them to Apple and Google, which means your broadcasts will publish on podcast platforms.

The app takes out the complications of setup, hosting, distributing, and RSS feed creation that podcasts often require. With Anchor, you can record and publish directly.

Jason Parks, writing for Entrepreneur, said the app solved his podcast problem. Before, it was just too complicated.

"If you want to easily get your podcast distributed, Anchor is your go-to audio source," he said.

The Anchor is free, but not perfect. Recordings are limited to five minutes at a time. For verbose lawyers, that's almost an impossible limitation.

On the other hand, online users are like butterflies. They flit from one page to another, often erratically, and they are hard to capture.

So short podcasts may be exactly what lawyers need to reach the internet market. After all, it's not that hard to figure out.
