Attorneys Can Earn CLE Credits On the Go With CLE Mobile

By Deanne Katz, Esq. on November 09, 2012 | Last updated on March 21, 2019

Apps available for lawyers provide a lot of time saving capabilities. They help with research, with scheduling, and with everyday business needs like billing and email.

They can also help you earn CLE credits.

West LegalEdcenter's CLE Mobile app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch allows you to earn CLE credits on the go. The app isn't new, but it's earned so much positive acclaim that it's become something all lawyers should have in their arsenal.

The app has a library of more than 4,500 course options to choose from, covering a wide variety of CLE topics. Once you've found one you like, it's a relatively simple matter to view the content and submit completed courses for credit.

CLE Mobile also has an interactive function where you can browse the course materials and post to group discussion boards.

Since you can't fast-forward through the course without watching it, CLE Mobile has a function to verify that you are still listening to the program. Once you verify that you're still there, you can later skip forward to your last verified point if you need to pause in the middle.

The app itself is free, although the individual courses aren't. Most prices are competitive with similar in-person CLE courses, but they offer the flexibility to learn what you want, when you want.

So never again will you need to sit through a boring presentation at the end of the year just to make sure you have enough CLE credits. Lawyers who use the CLE Mobile app can instead enjoy useful and interesting CLE courses, even at the last minute.
