Block on Trump's Asylum Ban Upheld by Supreme Court
It's such an accepted explanation for impulse buying, it's practically a mantra. And as religious holidays go, Black Friday is a universally acceptable day to worship the sale.
With some guidance from tech experts, FindLaw has a shoppers list for your pilgrimage to tech nirvana on sale day. This is the lawyer's edition:
Amazon's Echo Dot, the mini virtual assistant, will be on sale for $30. That's less than lunch for two, and a much better gift for your real assistant.
Alexa, the voice of the Echo devices, can do way more than play music and control other internet-enabled devices. She can even keep track of billable hours.
Tablets and smart phones are carry-on, must-haves for lawyers traveling and going to court. iPads will sell for $250 on Black Friday, and Samsung devices will be cheaper.
"Walmart looks like it has the most promising iPhone deal, as it says it'll offer a $300 gift card with activation of an iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X (or new Samsung Galaxy flagship)," says ArsTechnica.
Mobile devices can't match the power of desktop computers, especially when it comes to working on multiple screens. You can get two screens for the price of one iPad at Best Buy.
"(L)arge screens are cheap, and if there's one place where PCs outperform their hand-held competitors, it's on screen space," wrote FindLaw's Casey Sullivan.
