Block on Trump's Asylum Ban Upheld by Supreme Court
So what are the hottest products among attorneys right now? Sure you hear about the iPad, the ScanSnap and all kinds of other toys and gizmos.
But there is one piece of software that makes life easier for thousands of attorneys that you don't always hear much about: HotDocs.
HotDocs is an award-winning software suite and the global leader in document automation and assembly technology for law firms. They recently announced the release of HotDocs 10, which was named one of the Top 15 products of 2010 by TechnoLawyer NewsWire. That's a serious compliment, considering that TechnoLawyer NewsWire reports on 250 new technologies for lawyers each year.
The TechnoLawyer Blog said that HotDocs 10 makes it easier to transform your model documents into templates, with "document assembly guru" Marc Lauritsen awarding it a perfect TechnoScore of 5.0.
The list itself that they released is a bit odd, in that several items on their list have since been discontinued or are not good choices for law firms. For example, they first recommended the Square credit card reader, but then go on to say that "TechnoLawyer subscriber James McCorquodale subsequently reported that it's not a good fit for law firms."
But never mind that, because we're here to talk about HotDocs, and it's getting rave reviews:
"HotDocs has long been a legal industry standard," stated Leonard DuCharme, the company's Marketing VP. "But our latest release, HotDocs 10, takes automated document generation to a whole new level. We're honored that TechnoLawyer and its readers have continued to show their support for and interest in HotDocs."
Lawyers love HotDocs because they can transform any word processor file or PDF form into an interactive template. HotDocs templates produce custom, transaction-ready documents from a question-and-answer interview and can be deployed on the desktop or the web. In other words, it makes filling out and filing legal documents a breeze.
