Snoop Dogg Launches Canna-biz Leafs by Snoop

Given his penchant for verse about weed, it should come as no surprise that Snoop Dogg is getting into the canna-biz again. Leafs by Snoop -- spoofing Beats by Dre -- launched in Colorado this week, reports The New York Daily News.
But this is not the rapper's first investment in the business of legal weed. Marijuana is a big money maker and is already a legal recreational drug in Colorado. Snoop Dogg is getting involved in everything from cannabis candy and concentrates to delivery. Earlier this year, he announced his association with Eaze, the so-called Uber of medical marijuana delivery.
An Old Ally
Snoop's enthusiasm for the cannabis business seems reasonable in light of claims he has made that he takes 81 tokes a day. "It's a true blessing that I can share the products I love so much with y'all today," said Snoop, born Calvin Broadus Jr., at a launch party for Leafs. He said that all the strains were hand-picked by him.
Leafs by Snoop will sell eight strains of flowers and edibles in the form of chocolate, gummies, drops, fruit chews, and concentrated marijuana. "So you know it's the hottest product out there. It's the real deal and you gotta get out to Colorado to try it first!"
Other Snoop marijuana ventures include the packaging company FunkSac, which makes odor-locking baggies, a line of Grenco Double G herbal vaporizer pens, and the marijuana lifestyle website, Merry Jane.
An Occasional Woe
Sometimes the news is not as promising as the announcement about the launch of Leafs by Snoop was today. A few years back the rapper was caught with pot at the Norwegian airport and was fined for that, as well as bringing in too much cash.
Norwegian authorities reportedly found Snoop very nice and not at all a diva. Perhaps it's the 81 tokes a day keeping him cool under pressure. He was also busted for marijuana possession in the same Texas town as Willie Nelson.
