U.S. Senate Unveils New Small Business Website

By Neetal Parekh on September 14, 2009 | Last updated on March 21, 2019

There's a brand new webpage in town created for small business, and brought to you by the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.  Small business champion, Senator Mary Landrieu and fellow colleague Olympia Snow announced the launch this week along as a "valuable tool" for entrepreneurs that would be "one-stop shop"  for small businesses to interact with government agencies and research resources to grow and expand their ventures.

Small businesses can subscribe for news updates and information from the website: https://sbc.senate.gov.

The site's landing page welcomes America's 27 million small businesses, credited for creating 2/3 of all new jobs annually and comprising over half of the country's workforce.  Under the tab "Resources for Small Business Owners" there are links to financial assistance programs, Committee Resources, and links to relevant Small Business Administration (SBA) program.

The website also features tabs for press releases, news, events, and video, along with a schedule feed of what is currently happening on the Senate Floor.
