Top 3 Cool Jobs This Week: Let's Get Litigating

By Casey C. Sullivan, Esq. on September 02, 2016 11:57 AM

You're a litigator. You like building and trying cases: the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat, and all that. You just might like litigating better if you were doing it somewhere new.

We understand. That's why this week, as part of our affiliate partnership with Indeed, we're bringing you the three coolest litigation jobs we could find. So get your resumes ready. Today could be the day you find your next great job.

1. Litigation Associate, LeClairRyan

LeClairRyan is looking for an attorney to join its products liability and transportation team in the firm's Houston office. The firm is looking to grow its presence in the Houston market, and you could be at the forefront of that effort. Responsibilities include prepping pleadings, drafting motions, reviewing discovery, and attending depositions.

If you're early in your career, this could be the spot for you. LeClairRyan is looking for an associate who has two to three years of litigation defense experience -- along with typical skills like attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

2. Litigation Counsel, Square

Square is that little phone plug-in (or self-standing POS system) that you swipe your credit card through every time you get coffee at the trendy new place down the street. And the credit card processing company has been growing quickly lately. With that growth comes the need for more lawyers -- and, potentially, for you.

Square is looking for a lawyer to join its litigation team in San Francisco. You'll work on complaints from Square customers, handle legal notices from regulatory bodies, and laisse with law enforcement.

3. Litigation Attorney, Yu Mohandesi

This DTLA firm founded by former BigLaw attorneys is looking to grow its team. Yu Mohandesi is searching for attorneys with two to eight years of litigation and case management experience, with a preference for those with commercial and consumer litigation backgrounds.

And, if you don't want to slog through that LA traffic every day, this could be a good fit. The firm is willing to consider a remote working relationship, for the right candidate.
